This calculator will display the pricing for short-term vehicle rentals from State Fleet Management, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, and the use of a personal vehicle. The reimbursement for the use of a POV is $0.445/mile when no State motor pool vehicle is available and $0.405/mile when a State vehicle is available, but you choose to use your own vehicle anyway.

Please note the following from the Enterprise contract:

State employees considering use of this contract should follow all
internal policies and procedures governing the use of rental vehicles
set forth by their agency.

The contract is to be utilized by State Fleet Management for the
Charleston and Columbia areas only in the event it is unable to
furnish a fleet vehicle when requested by an agency.

Note: The Dodge Stratus is considered a Standard Sedan at Enterprise, while State Fleet considers the Stratus an Intermediate Sedan. Similarly, the Ford Focus is rented as an Intermediate Sedan at Enterprise, but is considered a Compact Sedan at State Fleet.

The prices for the State Fleet Motor Pool are subject to change. The Enterprise prices are direct from the State contract with Enterprise and are effective from January 5, 2005 through January 2, 2010.
